It amazes me how a napping child can resonate such a miriad of emotions in me. There is such peace and yet terrific anxiety about a sleeping baby. It begins first with the victory and defeat of him actually going down without a fight. Yet as soon the short silent minutes pass I begin to fear that he will wake up sooner than he needs, and sooner than I will have to eat, go to the bathroom or finish my sketches.
Nevertheless. I miss him when he sleeps and can't wait to see his smiling face when he wakes up.
